Kilt Hire

Whether it is for a wedding or other formal occasion, or simply for a ceileidh or casual affair, we can provide a formal or informal outfit that will have you correctly dressed in a traditional Scottish kilt outfit and looking your very best.

We can also provide you with just the parts you need, if for example you already have your own kilt and/or other parts of a highland outfit.

If you are available to come into our shop for a fitting, we can aim to get the best possible fit with the available outfit components. Instructions on how to put on the individual items can be provided when you come in for a fitting,  when you pick up the outfit or parts, or both times.

Our formal outfit packages can be either of these two options:

  • Prince Charlie Jacket with Silver buttons, with or without a matching 3 or 5 button waistcoat
  • Black Bow Tie

The Argyll outfit is also a black tie outfit, but has a slightly less formal feel to it. It would also be suitable for formal weddings, dinners, balls and other formal or a wee bit less formal occasions.

The Casual Kilt Outfit Package

This more casual outfit has become very popular for casual outdoor weddings, as well as social events where a formal black-tie outfit is too formal. It is also popular as a dress alternative to change into after the formal part of a wedding for example has finished.

It consists of the following items:

  • Kilt
  • Ghillie Shirt (black)
  • Black leather Sporran
  • Waist belt with buckle
  • Sgian dubh
  • Ghillie Brogues
  • Kilt hoses (socks, in black or cream)
  • Garter Flashes

This outfit when worn with a Black Watch kilt, a black ghillie shirt and black hose has become particularly popular as the dark colours give it a uniquely balanced, but casual look.
