This dirk is quite similar to the patterns worn by pipers in the highland regiments. It has a black thistle-patterned hilt, with a simulated cairngorm stone in the pommel. The sheath is solid and covered with cowhide a solid cowhide sheath. The metal mounts are deeply chased with a thistle design and plated with palladium.
The blade is real with a single sharpened edge.
A leather frog to hand the dirk to the waistbelt is included.
The dirk comes in a solid presentation box that is also suitable for storage. A history of the dirk is printed on the inside of the lid.
